The Mountain-Pacific Region of the Society of Christian Philosophers (SCP) is now accepting papers for its annual conference to be held April 3rd-4th at Carroll College in Helena, MT. We welcome both Christians and non-Christians as presenters, commentators, and participants. Although we are particularly interested in
papers developing the themes of Christian ethics and Health Care (e.g., role of Christian ethics in medical treatment, Christian ethics and suffering and death, Christian ethics and use of genetic information, pluralism and rights to faith-based health treatment, justice and care for developing human life, autonomy and end of life choice, use of genetic screening, etc.), papers on other topics of ethical or any philosophical interest will be considered.
Submissions should include a 100-word summary (to printed in the program) and a 300-word abstract. Submission by email, in the body or as an attachment are both acceptable. Your conference paper should be no more than 3,000 words, inclusive of all footnotes and bibliography).
Submissions should be sent to Mark Smillie at firstname.lastname@example.org on or before the submission deadline posted below. There is a $500 SCP-funded award for the best graduate student paper. If you would like to be considered for the award, please indicate this in your cover letter.
